Had a flurry of research about this tree the other week. Seems like a good one for the outer zones of the property(although protecting them from deer may mean they are easier closer to the house). Deciduous, temperate, upright tree with raisin like fruit and needs little care - could replace a few of the silver birches that are currently close to the house.
can strike from cuttings but seeds take a very long time to germinate - by all accounts.
